During this training you will learn to guide others during a Yoga Nidra. You will also learn to improve and deepen the practice of Yoga Nidra. Together we will explore how Yoga Nidra can affect your mind and body, as well as the benefits you can derive from this in-depth practice. With a combination of contemporary scientific knowledge, the ancient wisdom of Yoga and our own experience, we will help you understand how Yoga Nidra can affect various contemporary complaints.
Yoga Nidra is regularly seen only as a form of relaxation. For many people this is also the goal, to come to a deeper relaxation. Yoga Nidra is an exercise that can contribute to much more than just relaxation.

Yoga Nidra can be of influence in various contemporary complaints such as:

  • Reduction of stress
  • Changing habits
  • Solving addictions
  • Dealing with trauma, depression and anxiety
  • Healing of physical and mental diseases
  • Training skills, such as learning a language.

It is partly for these reasons that we at Fit Flex Relax find this an enormously important practice and offer this training.
The goal of Yoga Nidra is to come into a state in which you are in the theta phase of your mind. In this state the conscious part of the mind is asleep, so that the subconscious mind comes to the fore. This is where the real strength lies in Yoga Nidra. In this phase the brain can be re-programmed.

Yoga Nidra was discovered and developed as a technique by Swami Satyanada of the Bihar School of Yoga. With contemporary scientific research, the technique has been adapted and has become the current form that is accessible and effective.


Participants must meet the following criteria:


Depending on the participants, the training can be given in English. This means that a good command of the English language is necessary.


Be fit. We recommend to start training fit. It is not a requirement to have yoga experience or anatomical knowledge. However, it is recommended to have at least 3 months of yoga experience and some (yoga-)anatomical knowledge.


If the student is undergoing medical treatment, we would like to receive a detailed description of the medical history. In consultation we will admit you to the course.

About the teacher

It's more than just a body, a brain or your diet. It's a complete lifestyle and Gil has dedicated his own life to the science behind it. He combines the traditional teachings as developed in the East with the current scientific knowledge that exists in the West.

The investment for this training amounts to EUR 1499. We expect a down payment of 50% before 1 August 2020 and before 10 September 2020 the full amount has to be paid.
